We then toured out on the top balcony, visited the Small Chapel room and exited down the side stairs to meet up with everyone. We all then returned to the top floor to investigate the Drawing Room and other rooms further.
Note: We found out at a later date that a floorboard on the opposite side of the room will open the cupboard door when pressed or stepped upon NICE TRICK!
After discussing further our plans for the evening we then toured the coach houses and returned to discuss the ghost stories further with Reg Ryan who treated us all to a free palm reading.

Mike Lambert and Partner Mandy then arrived and were greeted by us.
Reg then escorted all of us up to the Junee Cemetery where the graves of Mr. Crawley, Mrs. Crawley and one of their babies who died from accidently being fatally dropped down the stairs, Ethel Crawley can all be seen. We toured through the cemetery and had a good look at the ancient graves there.
Members then retreated to their accommodation to meet up again at the homestead at dusk for a gracious dinner in the main dining room then some serious ghost hunting at night.

The night had only just begun and we soon found out who was spooked by the house as the bathroom was located up the stairway and through the curtain - it was a long spooky trek for those who dared tackle the upstairs of the house on their own. We found that most were a little scared of things and didn't mind admitting it at all. Whilst enjoying dinner Mike noticed Mrs Crawley look in on us - since he had an incredible ability to see ghosts and spirits we were amazed at some of the things he saw. Eoghan also noticed her and they both commented later on how upset and angry she looked to them. She seemed most put out that we were all in her house and disturbing her. Eoghan and Mike both also saw a small ghost child (they couldn't make out what sex) running around the table as we were dining. Eoghan said that he felt the presence of children constantly around the place - he couldn't figure out why, but he just did. Reg Ryan said how children (real) who entered the place often had trouble around the staircase, they sometimes cry or start to act up. Could it be the spirit of the baby Ethel Crawley haunting children.

Other AGHS members asked us (before we did the tour) to go inside the Homestead and see which room we thought was the most haunted (after leaving the tour and discussing the house with other members we found that the others also thought that something was either in the same corner or standing at the small desk looking out the window). We came to the conclusion that this room would probably prove to be the best for ghost hunting and we agreed on holding a seance with an Ouija Board later on that night.
One member told of how the day before in the Girls Room that one of the wooden cupboard doors opened suddenly and unexpectedly on it's own whilst they were in there. After having a look at the cupboard and deciding it could not be opened easily we then went back to the Drawing Room to see if anything was still there. The eerie feeling of a presence that we felt before was now gone and there was nothing to be found in this room at this time.

The Grave of tiny Ethel Crawley
Whilst having dinner we chose to leave a micro cassette recorder with a 60min tape and an amplified microphone recording in the upstairs Chapel Room - that way we could keep an eye on who was walking around the house (everyone was at dinner). The Chapel Room was the haunting ground of Mrs Crawley who has been spotted a few times wandering the balcony in her black outfit carrying a silver cross. Eoghan Arnold had already left a tape running in this room during the day and had caught a mysterious tapping sound coming from inside the room on tape. The tapping would get more rapid everytime a tour went round to the Chapel Room, and the sound of a rocking chair could also be heard on the tape.
After dinner we set out to retrieve the micro-cassette recorder from the Chapel Room - Eoghan Arnold and Mark Ferguson accompanied me to the upstairs balcony to do this. The Chapel room was located outside on the top story - to get there it required walking down the upstairs hallway (and past the haunted Drawing Room) through the French doors, and outside onto the balcony and around the corner into darkness to the small room. I must admit to being slightly uneasy about walking into the darkness and entering this room, it was dark, quiet and extremely spooky, but apart from that myself, Mark and Eoghan felt nothing else up there on the balcony. However upon re-entering the French doors from the outside Eoghan Arnold was suddenly punched in the stomach and pushed backwards by an unseen entity. He was startled but managed the second time to enter through the doors with no resistance, myself and Mark did not have any similar occurrences. We wondered if this was from Mrs Crawley who was looking angrily at Eoghan from the Dining room earlier?.
