Well, let me tell you something this was a real, SCARY, unexpected, maybe an incident experience!
One sunshiny day, I was playing basketball with my lucky ball (it is autographed by the Harlem
Globetrotters). I was doing pretty good actually and was making most of my shots. Then my ball
rolled down the hill after the easiest-shot-you-could-take was missed! (I missed
the shot) I tried to chase after it, but I tripped over a rock! OUCH I yelled! I had scraped my knee.
Well it wasn't bleeding so I went to go look for my ball. I couldn't find it. Then out of the
corner of my eye I saw a red and blue thing, I glanced over there. My basketball! I dribbled it back up
the hill. I was about ten feet away from the hoop so I decided to go in for a layup! I dribbled, got
ready for the hop, hopped, and the shot the ball. I MISSED! How could I miss? I never miss layups! I
got the number on layup award at basketball camp!! And it sure didn't look like it really MISSED
MISSED, it actually looked like someone had pushed it out. I tried shooting again. I missed! Again
it looked like someone had pushed it out! What the heck is going on? I thought. I tried shooting some
more shots. I missed 7 in a row! That has NEVER happened before! Now, to make a long story short,
I have always been afraid or felt uncomfortable about things like ghosts, knives, bloody Mary
games, and things like that. I was home alone that day so I decided it was my imagination and tried
another ball. It still missed and again, the effect that someone was pushing or tapping it out.
Oh god I thought! Could it be a ghost? Maybe. I wasn't sure. I went inside of my house.
Later my mother and father came home I told them about what had happened. Of course they did not
believe me. I decided not to play basketball for a long time. So I didn't. about 3weeks went by , and
I wanted to play desperately. So I DID. When I shot it can you guess what happened?
IT MISSED!!
I didn't know what was wrong or why it
was happening. The next day I got a phone call
from my friend and she asked me if I wanted to
spend the night. I was allowed to so I went over. My
friend had a Ouija Board and she took it out. My
heart sank I had never even been close to a Ouija
board before. "Let's Play" she said. She took out
the board and set the pointer thing down. She told
me it was called a planchette or something like
that. I knew it was something like that but I
wasn't sure. Well in no time we started playing.
When it was my turn to ask it something I asked if
there was a ghost haunting my basketball hoop. I
was startled when it answered "ME". I was talking
to the ghost that was making my shots miss!! I
asked it "will you stop?". It answered "MAYBE". I
said "please"? It answered "OK" and then it pointed
to goodbye. We put the board away. The next day I
went home and I took out my basketball stood
directly in front of the hoop. I took a deep
breath and shot the ball. SWISH! "yes" I whispered
to myself.
Thanks for reading my story and I hope you enjoyed my experience.
