BOGGO ROAD GAOL GHOST TOUR PART II
I found out later that two tour members had been grabbed by an unseen entity whilst locked in the cell... the amusing thing was that they were both grabbed on the bum..........well it was a male prison you know!!! We inspected more haunted areas and kept our eyes peeled for any black shadows moving inside the buildings or any white ghostly shapes following us around. I encountered a bit of a disaster as my camera's battery decided to die the very minute I walked into the Gaol...Unfortunately I couldn't take the photos that I wanted to. Eventually we made our way to one of the creepiest parts of the tour. We walked down between the inner gaol buildings and the outer prison wall. There is a grassy strip where guards used to spend the night keeping watch for any escapee activity. Two guards had in fact met violent deaths down in this area.....and let me say...they are definitely still there to this day. The stories that some of the guards suffered are pretty frightening - ghosts that climbed walls after them. Ghosts that appeared and followed them into their guard box pressing their faces up against the glass and scaring the living daylights out of the terrified guard.....Jack was telling us these horrific stories and suddenly exclaimed "there!!!!!" - He'd seen something at the corner of the strip - he saw a black shadow move into the wall....Nobody said anything, but they all madly looked...I think they were all too spun out. You could feel something was there - because we didn't have the time to hang around and wait for something else to happen I just kept watching that area as Jack talked about more ghostly adventures....I suddenly saw movement near a small brick toilet block thing (great description huh?) it was small and black - I would say knee high. It moved very quickly and disappeared. After Jack had finished talking we hung back - Jack, myself and a teenage boy who told us he'd also seen a black shadow that vanished into the wall.....our stories matched up except I'd seen something a few minutes later than them. Having to continue forward with the tour I didn't get the chance to explore any further ghostly activity in that area. The tour finished and we enjoyed it immensely. I highly recommend this ghost tour - It's one of the best I've ever been on - the stories were told with great flourish and Jack manages to captivate everyone with his theatrical approach to the tour. After Spending some time talking with Jack myself after the tour we heard even more ghost stories that tourists had had whilst on one of his popular tours. There are some pretty frightening things that they have all encountered in the cemeteries too!!!
