The old Fremantle Asylum was built in 1867 - being the colony's first Asylum for the insane it was later converted into a home for elderly women.
For years I have heard ghostly tales of some strange things that people have experienced in both this building and the old prison - we hope to travel across to WA sometime in the near future to experience these tours for ourselves!!!.
Black shadows are sometimes seen within the compound and a resident Old woman ghost is often reported to have made an appearance whilst on the tours.

The Old Fremantle Prison was constructed by convicts between 1851 and 1855.
Prisons always have plenty of ghosts and paranormal activity - if there's one type of place I recommend you visit where you might just see a ghost, it's a prison. The hardships and suffering endured in these places always leaves a lingering essence and imprint behind in the brick walls. The ghosts of the past always reside there still today.
