GHOST?

It was about 30 years ago, I had just passed my driving test. I had bought my first car, a Triumph Herald, I was driving along quite a fast road, near Portsmouth, Hampshire UK, when a small child, ran out right in front of me, he or she, I don't know which, seamed to touch the front of the of the car, but was then gone.

My passengers, my mother, father, sister, and her friend, all saw the child, looked back, but there was no one there, at 19 years old, I though I had Killed a child, but there was no one there. I did not look back, as I was driving, but I think I may have seen a ghost. But I just don't know.
