It all happened about 9 years ago. I was on vacation and was staying at my aunt's house, which may I add was kind of old and spooky inside. We were sitting around the dinner table when we started talking about ghosts. My aunt began to speak of the woman that lived in the house before she bought it. She was an elderly woman who at one point got very sick. She was walking through the hall to go downstairs and almost lost her balance. Now these stairs curve around so they can be a little strange for anyone to walk down. Well, as this old lady was beginning to walk down the stairs she slipped and fell. She fell down about 30 stairs and being in her frail condition she died at the bottom from the impact of her head hitting the tiled floor.

About a week went by and the story was forgotten until that one day. I was asked by my mother to get something from outside, so I did as I was instructed. I walked down the hallway and got near the stairs. As I was standing at the top of the staircase I looked down. At the bottom of the stairs I saw an elderly woman sitting on a rocking chair. I had no idea who this woman was but being at the young age I was it scared me. I called for my aunt who said she could see no one. I was at this point fairly confused because I could plainly see an elderly woman in a rocking chair. I past it off and went down the stairs. When I got to the bottom of the stairs I could hear someone calling my name in a hushed whisper. As I turned around to see who it was I again saw this woman on the rocking chair. After I had finished getting what my mother had asked me to get her I went to the local library. I searched through old newspapers and came across the article about the woman who fell down the stairs. At the top of the article was a picture of this woman. The woman in the picture was the same woman I had seen that day at the bottom of the stairs in her rocking chair. The coincidence was that in this picture the woman was sitting in a rocking chair.
