Unleashed Spirit

Recently I have seemed to unleash a presence in my house. How, I have no clue, but the spirit is letting me know I'm not the only one. First off, let me give you a little info about me.

I'm 21, married, and have a year old son. We moved into this townhouse in January of 2001, so it hasn't quite been a year, and I'm thinking twice about renewing my lease.

We have two bedrooms and a full bath upstairs, living room, kitchen and half bath downstairs. When we first moved into the apartment my husband and I was so excited, it was so much bigger than our previous place, and we couldn't get over the price.

The first few nights I noticed I had a hard time sleeping. I always felt like someone or something was in the house. I played it off of being in a new place and it being so spacious. When we was downstairs we would always hear things upstairs. And vice versa. Things started getting weird shortly after that. I cannot tell you how many nights I would lay in bed and hear my name being called.

One incident, I had stayed home from work that day and my husband was still sleeping. He usually sleeps most of the day because he works overnight. I was in my sons room cleaning when I heard someone scream my name. Without even thinking I assumed it was my husband and went to our bedroom. He was still sound asleep. So I decided he was probably talking in his sleep. I decided I could use a cup of coffee. I went downstairs to the kitchen and when I walked in I found all of my cabinet doors opened. Every single one of them. I stood there trying to figure out how this had happened.

Next night, was standing in the kitchen deciding what to make for dinner. Had just put my son down for the night and everything was nice and quiet. I decided to make some mac and cheese. Turned around towards the sink to get some water rammed my knee right into the cabinet door. So I closed it, thinking nothing of it. Turned to get some milk. I had spilled milk everywhere. So once again I turn to the sink to find my dish rag and ran right into the cabinet again. Now I know that I had just closed it. I stood there for a minute. "What is going on"? I said out loud. Went to put the milk back in the fridge. This time I actually felt the cabinet door open right past my legs. I turned around, sure enough. Door was open again. After that I called a girlfriend of mine to keep me company. She came over, we sat around and talked and tried to forget the occurrences. We was sitting there laughing away when we started to hear organ music. Where the hell was the coming from? It was as clear as day. Then we heard children laughing outside. None of my neighbors have any kids, but I looked outside anyway. Sure enough, not a sound. Few hours went by and nothing else happened. I was just telling her goodbye when I heard loud stomping coming from upstairs. Half out of fear and half of maternal instinct I ran upstairs to protect my son. Of course, there was no one there. Son sound asleep, lights off, doors locked. Nothing!

I was bound and determined to get to the bottom of this. I am always hearing doors open and close, stomping upstairs, radios coming on and recently had a spirit watch me taking a shower. I wash washing my hair and glanced over to see a man standing in front of the shower curtain. NO features, just shadows. Assuming it was my husband I called out for him. Finished with my hair, and realized he never said anything back. I pulled the curtain back to find no one there. And of course my husband said he never came upstairs.

I do not feel afraid, but there are times when I am. Another incident, I was carrying some laundry upstairs when I felt someone from behind give me a hard push. Luckily I was going up the stairs and not down them.

This just happened two nights ago. It was pretty windy out, and I could tell it was going to storm. The house was dark, I had lit a few candles and was planning on relaxing. Phone was ringing. "Hello" No one there. Hung up the phone. Started to lay back on my sofa with some music when I heard knocking at the door. I'm always having friends stop by and especially since I'm alone at night. Went to the door, no one. Now this is odd. No one on the phone, no one at the door. I decided that staying in the dark was getting to be out of the question. So I began to turn on the lights downstairs. Blew out the candles and decided I would go get a book to read. I went upstairs to get my book and when I came back down there was nothing but total darkness. All of the lights I had just turned on was out. I heard another knock at the door, so I ran upstairs to get a view of who was at my door. I could hear them knocking, but saw no one standing at my door. Needless to say I was so scared I got my son up, and went to my friends house until my husband got off of work.

I have no clue what is going on in my house, I only hope whatever it is doesn't intend any harm. Thanks for reading this.
