Old Lady In Old Cottage

This happened to me quite some time ago, but I still remember it fairly well.

One weekend my mum and I went to stay with friends at their house in Rozelle. We were only staying one night so we slept on a mattress in their dining room. At about 3am that night I woke up and was feeling really frustrated. I was tossing and turning and I just couldn't get to sleep. It wasn't normal for me to just wake up at 3am and not get back to sleep, normal I would sleep like a log until mid-day.

After about an hour of tossing and turning and not being able to sleep I decided to open my eyes. I was lying on my stomach with my head turned to the side because thats how I feel most comfortable sleeping. As I opened my eyes I had a blurry white fuzz in my eyes. I rubbed my eyes to clear them but the fuzz was still there. I started to sit up and look at the white fuzz and as I started looking up I noted the white fuzz was starting to take the shape of a woman's dress. I looked up to see an old woman standing next to me.
I got a fairly good look at her. She was dressed like she was from the early 1900's. She was wearing a long white dress with a white scarf thing on her head.

I got to look at her for a few seconds and she was looking out the window above my head, but then she turned her head and looked at me and the most scariest part of the whole experience was her face. It was blank. I mean she had no eyes, no nose, no mouth. he face was just flat and white...thats the only way I can describe it. I couldn't see her eyes or her facial expressions, but I got the feeling she was staring at me and that she angry. I stared back for a couple of seconds before burying my head in the pillow.

I lay there for a while hoping she would go away, but when I slowly opened my eyes again 15 minutes later she was still there standing next to me staring down at me.

I don't remember how long it took me to get to sleep but when I woke up she was gone. The sun was starting to come up and it was just me and my mum in the room again.

What an experience. I told my mum about it and she didn't seem very surprised. She eventually told me that something similar happened to her a few weeks earlier.
