HAUNTED BOYFRIENDS HOUSE

I have only lived in a few apartments in my lifetime, and I've had weird unexplainable things happen, but the home of my boyfriend I believe is haunted, and here I'll explain why.

Steve has told me of some of the experience's that have happened in this house to either him or his siblings. I'm sure if I were to talk to all of his family they would have quite a few more stories to add to this, but unfortunately I don't see them often enough to ask, and I don't want to bring it up in case they don't like talking about it.

Steve's father had taken all of the lock's off all of the door's when the kids were young for fear of the kids being locked in their rooms in case of a fire. This house is very old, and the wiring isn't like the newer homes of today. My experience has something to do with why I told you this little bit of information so bear with me. But first let me tell you about some of the happenings he and his family have had. When Steve was fifteen years old his mother wanted to hang some cabinets. The walls were thin with only sheet rock holding it up, the beams were Mickey moused so when the cabinets were hung, they came crashing down as fast as they were hung. This started major renovations in the house, and apparently caused a disturbance of some kind. There were items found in the basement of some civil war artifacts.

Steve and his mother had been home alone all day, and the phone did not ring once. While glancing at the answering machine he noticed it had been flashing one message when there were none their earlier. He played the message, and heard heavy breathing that turned to growling and then snarling. They looked at each other laughing, and Steve made a comment "There are no such things as ghosts", his eye glasses became missing for a week after that, and that became a normal routine around the house.

Steve had been laying down resting one day in one of the upstairs bedrooms when he heard the kitchen door repeatedly being opened and shut with great force. This peaked his curiosity, so he went down to investigate. He was the only one home and he could not understand why this was happening. While down in the kitchen he started hearing the door upstairs being opened and closed, but upon going back upstairs to check this out, it had stopped. He kept hearing it downstairs.

There was also an occasion when Steve's father was home alone, and he heard every door in the house opening and slamming shut. In each room he investigated there wasn't any movement or sound emminating except for the room's he had not checked yet. He finally gave up and went to sit outside for some peace and quiet. When his family started arriving home they asked why he was sitting outside and not in the house, and he answered that it was much quieter out here than in there!

There was a sighting from a few people, one being Steve's ex-wife, of a man standing in the small hallway near the stairs wearing a civil war uniform. He did not speak, he just looked and disappeared.

Now up until a few years ago, Steve's parent's moved into there oldest daughter Kathy's basement apartment. All the kids are grown and married now, so they don't live there anymore, but up until last year Steve, his sister Edie and her son Billy lived there to help their parent's keep up the mortgage payment's. Edie's son Billy refused to sleep upstairs, let alone go up there alone, what scared him was seeing a shadowy figure coming down the stairs.

Now the man that was seen in the civil war attire was not the only spirit seen in this house, according to Steve's father and brother, they've all seen a woman in a long white dress in the basement. Steve had the unfortunate pleasure of seeing her three nights in a row last year in his bedroom.

His other nephew moved in when Steve moved out with me, and took over his old bedroom, he had a scare one day while sitting on the bed, the whole bed started shaking for what seemed like an eternity to him, but lasted only about a minute. This really shook him up, and he really didn't like talking about these thing's when Steve would ask him if anything strange was happening.

When I moved in here over five years ago I had put my daughter in my bed to sleep, and I went downstairs to watch t.v., I was getting tired so I went up to bed, and as soon as I layed my head to the pillow I felt something touch my back! I swung around thinking someone was in my house, but realizing there couldn't have been since I was there the whole night downstairs and the only way upstairs is through the room I was in , it was impossible!

My nephew had slept over one night on my couch and was awakened by three tap's on the head. He jumped or should I say flew to the other side of the couch, and then looked at my stairs and seen a shadowy figure going up them. Needless to say he never slept over again after that.

You may cast doubt on the things that have happened here, but I know what I've experienced, and I know in my heart it to be true. As for my boyfriend and his family, I see no reason not to believe him for he is a very smart and stable person, and he has no reason to make these things up, he doesn't talk about it unless I ask him. If I had a reasonable explanation I would give it, but unfortunately I don't.

Thank you for giving me this opportunity to submit my story.
