Well, this is a true story that I witnessed
many times.
My uncle and aunt (Johnny and Julie)
and Julie's parents lived in a house in Barberton,
Ohio. When they first moved in, they were told
that the house had been old Barberton Hospital and
the basement had been a morgue. That really didn't
bother either of them so they really didn't think
about it. The happenings didn't start until they had lived there for a few weeks. Johnny and Julie lived in the apartment downstairs and
her parents lived upstairs.
Johnny locked the basement door every night as well as the door to the stairs that went to the upstairs apartment, yet, every morning both doors were unlocked and open. Then in the upstairs
apartment there was this thing about this one wall. When you looked at it a certain way, you could see a face (almost as if it had been drawn or carved into it). So they sanded it down,
re-plastered it, and painted over it. As the paint
dried, you could see the face EVEN BETTER THAN
BEFORE!!! He did it about three times and each
time the face would come back better than before.
It started to look like the Devil himself. Johnny
wanted to tear out the wall but Julie's dad said
no way. They didn't mind the little stuff (doors
opening, cold spots, or even the whispers in the
ear) but one night put a stop to it all.
A friend had come over to their house to pick up a lamp
that had been stored in the attic since before
they had come to live there. They were cleaning
everything out and he had said before that he
needed a lamp. Now this guy was no regular whimpy
guy. This guy was 6 feet 5 inches tall and about
320 pounds. He rode a Harley and drives trucks for
a living. He ( i'll call him "Spike") was told to go
to the attic and get it. He went up the stairs and
saw the lamp as soon as he got to the top. It was
shining brightly and it was a lovely antique. As
he went to unplug it he got all cold. He looked
down and saw that the lamp was unplugged!! As he
started to scream and run from the attic, he said
he heard a laughing in his ears. He never came
back. That was when they decided to get away from
that house. To this day my aunt won't even drive
down the street that house is on.
