NOTHING TO LOOSE YOUR HEAD ABOUT

"ALLLLLRIGHT!" I yelled as I found out what my great-grandmother had left me in her will. Up in the wilderness of Western Pennsylvania where very few have ever set foot, there was a cabin that my great grandfather built. You see, he was in World War II and sadly never came home, because his body was supposedly M.I.A. (missing in action). Me and 4 other friends of mine were psyched to go check this place out, so we planned to spend a night out there and began our "camping" trip.

It was about 5 p.m. when I pulled our car in front of the old deteriorating cabin, just as the sun was setting. We explored the place, and found it was quite nice, despite it's years of aging so we unpacked and went outside to roast some dinner (hotdogs) over a fire. Everyone was having so much fun and before we knew it, time was slipping away and it grew late. We dragged ourselves into the cabin and decided to sleep in the one bedroom that was built there, down the hall from the "make-shift" living room. Everything ran smoothly until I woke up in the middle of the night with this eerie feeling that there was someone in the house with us. Careful not to wake anyone, I crept across the room and peered into the hall and what I saw horrified me. The severed head of my great grandfather was floating down the hall, mouth agape and eyes fixed on me... I was too scared to speak so I turned around to wake a friend and found that my buddy Meghan was already at my side, just as terrified as I was.

The following morning we left in a hurry, only to return home to a letter addressed to our family."I have some good and bad news" my mom said."the good news is that your great grandfather has been found...." "yes?" I asked, " and the bad news?" "well" my dad cut in, " his decapitated body was found in an old vineyard....the head has yet to be found...."

I believe this story or now, but that ghastly image of that night still haunts me to this day, and you can't tell my mind what I didn't see.
