Hello, or g'day I should say. My story is simple but plain. I have always been fascinated by spirits and ghosts and believe, very much in them. My friend Simon and his father Gus lives with them. I tell you that another time. One night between 2 am and 2.30 am, me and my friend drove on a main road in Adelaide. Near a cemetery. When I was on the main road I was fine, happy as Larry. As soon as Simon turned down the first side street, for no apparent reason, I got butterflies in my stomach. Excitement, a little scared but cool at the same time. Where this street is, it is a dead end, but apparently there used to be children who played on the streets back in the early days, so obviously, I was feeling children nearby. So we got out of it, and decided to go around to the back, so we drove to the back of the cemetery, and felt nothing. As soon as we went down another side street of the cemetery, I got all upset and tensed, it was not funny, I can tell you that much. I was all tensed up like someone was nearby or in the car, with me and Simons car. When we got back on to the main road I was fine again. A friend of mine who is a psychic, I told her about the situation that happened, and she said there was definitely spirits nearby. Now that's what I call a close encounter of the unknown kind. And another info on this cemetery. People have claimed to see a ghost of a fireman in broad daylight marching around his tomb. GUS'S FAMOUS LOCAL GHOST

Hello again.

This time I am going to tell you about my friend Simon and his father who live with ghosts. I haven't actually seen them yet. But hopefully one day soon. Simon has lived with one ever since he was in primary school. He says it does nothing it just sits above his hanging light, so basically it's harmless as a flea. He says sometimes it will be on one side, and knows he will either have a bad day and goes and sits on the other side so he will know he is going to have a good day. And sometimes it will move all over the place so then he will know he is going to have an unusual day.

Okay now Gus (father) on the other hand, is famous around his suburb.

A hundred years ago or so, where he lives now used to be a one bedroom house. A family with a boy around five and he kept seeing a lady in white, and then she would vanish. This boy would see it a couple of times. Now where gus is now is a about six flats or units you may like to call them. He has seen the same lady twice. Once in his bedroom and once in the lounge area. And it is the same lady.

He has also claimed to have seen two male figures now appearing in his home which is unusual he says. We think the lady was either killed or murdered by one of the men. Gus says it freaks him out every time he sees it and his cats aren't too worried about them. He has also seen the lady wearing a costume mask.

This ghost is in a book called The Ghost Guide to Australia by Richard Davis, hopefully you may have a copy of it.

From nearby Semaphore comes the story of a female ghost in a white nightgown who terrorised a family in 1918. The house the family lived in contained one room obviously built much earlier than the rest. This room was allotted to the family's seven-year-old son as a bedroom. One morning the young boy astounded his parents by announcing that a lady in a long white nightdress had entered his room in the middle of the night and stood beside the bed looking down at him. The parents put this down to childish nightmares, but when the mother saw the same figure walk through the house and out into the garden in broad daylight a few days later they changed their opinion quickly.
