THE QUEEN MARY
Greetings,
I give you my word, this story is true. It happened around
last summer (2001).
My mom and my brother decided we
needed to take a vacation to southern California. While we
were there we visited the Queen Mary. Now let me tell you a
little about the Queen Mary.
It's a really old ship built
around the late 1930's to early 1940's. It's main purpose
was to be a ocean liner, carrying people all over the world.
To make it short, the Queen Mary has had some pretty bad
luck. Mostly from people dying. "How?" you ask, well,
anything from a watertight door crushing somebody to
jumping off a gangplank and hitting the water 12 stories
below.
Anyway back to my story my brother and I decided to
ditch my mom and go exploring ourselves. We came upon
the "Ghosts and Legends" tour and we decided to take it.
They took us all over the bow section of the boat
including were John Pedder (the man crushed in the
watertight door) was killed. What I found really funny was
all around that area it was extremely cold. Not just a
little draft or somebody left a porthole open. No, it was
more like standing on a glacier in a middle of an ice field.
Of course I thought it was just some kind of special
effect they use to jazz up their audience. But something
else I noticed, every time I stopped and listened to the
tour guide I noticed the ship swaying in what felt like a
current. Now that is very weird because the ship is parked
on a pier were it is a very good distance from the ocean.
I know right at the moment you are probably thinking that
this is the lamest ghost story you've ever heard. But I
have only two things to tell you:
1. I've always been a
strong believer in the supernatural and
2. If you have time
go to the Queen Mary, take thier tour, and you'll see why
the Queen Mary is probably the most haunted ship in the
world. You never know you might witness something you never
think was possible.
Thank you for reading my story.
Happy Ghost Hunting.
