THE STAIRS
I have read quite a few stories from this website and some
I have found to be about stairs. I don't know if this is
because some people fall down the stairs and die or just a
ghost thing.
The first week, I think, that I moved into my house I sat
on my rocking chair and was turned round, in the chair, to
talk to my Dad on the sofa behind. I could clearly see the
kitchen door from this angle. For some reason, I turned to
the door and saw a man, about 18-19, standing at the door
frame and looking into the sitting room. He looked around
and looked at me. He seemed afraid. And I sat talking to my
Dad and watching the ghost. I stopped the conversation and
mentioned the ghost in the kitchen. My Dad looked into the
kitchen and I watched him. When I looked toward where the
ghost was, he wasn't there. My Dad believed my, because of
the look on my face, and said that the ghost was probably
checking if we were ok in our new house.
I was ok in the house for a while. I was afraid to sleep in
my room for a while. I don't know why. Then before
Christmas I started falling down the stairs. At first I
never suspected a thing. I thought maybe it was an extra
step or I just wasn't paying attention. But after Christmas
I was walking down the stairs and there was loads of things
going up the right hand side of the stairs. This was quite
normal in my house. And in the middle of the stairs and at
the top of the line of junk were some shoes. I said to
myself to avoid the shoes and I held the banister tightly.
I was about 3 steps from the shoes when I felt 'something'
grab my shoulders and push me into the shoes. Of course I
fell violently to the last step and the pieces of wood fell
on top of me.
Since then I have never fell down the stairs again. But
I've been terribly afraid of them.
I would always walk down the stairs and at the bottom just
before I grabbed the door handle going into the sitting
room, I felt something at the top of the stairs 'throw'
themselves down at me. It was horrible, I almost had a
panic attack because I couldn't open the sitting room door
and 'it' was really close to me.
My friends hate the cupboard under the stairs. And have
commented on how it have them a creepy feeling and that
they felt that they should or had to watch it. I hated the
cupboard. And one day while searching for the source of
whyI hated it so much, I found that the floor was cement
BUT there was a square cut out where I hated it most. I'll
explain why. Inside the cupboard is long going the FULL
length of the stairs, but about 7 steps from the bottom
there is another cupboard door. This door kept opening
in front of my eye's, that is where the cut out cement block
was, underneath that second door.
More stuff has happened since then. But I don't want to
bore you so email me.
Thanks for reading.
GOODBYE
I would like to first introduce that my Granddad died the
morning I was at London, and I never got the chance to say
goodbye. I was never told about his death until a few days
afterward. I felt truly guilty. And when I moved into my
new house (The Stairs) I always felt a shadow in the corner.
About a year ago I was sitting with my Dad downstairs early
in the morning, about 4, and our conversation turned to
ghosts. We talked about each other’s experiences and funny
stories where my Dad had scared my Uncles.
I was sitting in my rocking chair which if you've read my
story The Stairs you'll know my last experience occurred
there. I was facing my Dad when the chair started rocking
out of control, as if someone was sitting in the chair
instead of me. My Dad cried out “Jodie, Stop It!” and the
chair still rocked. I fell into a trance, and described 4
people to my Dad, 3 he could identify and the fourth he
just didn't have a clue. For curiosity sake I'll tell you
who the people were; His old friend, who I didn't know about
His Granddad,My granddad,And a young blonde haired boy.
I came out of the trance and my Dad explained about how his
friend died of MS when he was 27 and they were best
friends. I burst into tears and the chair began to rock
again. All I could see was white light and that blonde
haired boy. He was sad and lonely and I described
everything I saw to my Dad while he cried and screamed for
me to stop. Then I knew the boy wanted Matthew and he
cried. The boy became surrounded by my Dad’s Grandparents.
And the vision went away.
It turns out Matthew was the boy’s Dad. And the boy was my
Dad’s cousin Ian who died in the river close to where we
live. Matthew had died a few weeks before, and apparently
his son was missing him.
When I went off to bed after my Dad hugged me and wiped
away his tears I stood next to the door and saw a vision of
my Granddad standing where I was watching me open my cards
on my birthday, the day before.
I'm not particularly sensitive to ghosts, I hear them,
sense them and completely fear them but I've never had
before or since an experience like this.
I went to sleep covered in peace. And for the first time
without a shadow in the corner.
THE STAIRS CONT..............
I wrote a story a while ago, in November I think about the
cupboard under stairs and how I think it was haunted. Well,
I haven't had any other experiences and it all just felt
like a bad nightmare. My friend and I were sitting talking
about horror movies (since we are obsessed) and were
watching a horror at the time, just last week. We got onto
talking about my stairs and she said they felt creepy. So,
I decided to 'dare' her into staying in my cupboard for 10
seconds and she literally jumped up and ran over to the
cupboard. I bunged her in and she immediately said she
didn't like the fare end of the cupboard. I shut the door
(which you can only open on the ouside, so she was totally
trusting me, quite scarily lol) and I counted to 10. At 10
I opened the door and she screamed "LET ME OUT!!" and
pushed past me. She said that she heard heavy breathing and
she thought it was me but she could barely here me count.
Well, after that, both of us being brave and watching
horror's and everything, we ran upstairs and hid in my room
lol.
Well, I told my cousin, who I am very close too about the
incident and she said she would go in the cupboard. So we
went around to my house and I put her in the cupboard (I
think I only have friends because they like my spooky house
lol) I counted to 10 and opened the door, she said nothing
happened and to let her stay in longer. I said I was going
to feed my cats and I'll 5 minutes and I'll come back and
open the door. So I was in the kitchen and she was singing
saracastically, and then she started shouting "Jodie! let
me out now!" so i went to the door and let her out. She
jumped out and shut the door and said she saw something
move at the fare end of the cupboard so she turned around
because she thought it was just her eye's (I made them not
turn on the light hehe) so when she turned around she felt
a hand brush the back of her head.
