WHATS IN THE WALLS? I've basically always believed in ghosts and spooky things like that, but I never once thought I would encounter something like it. Little did I know that the following would happen. It was a chilly April night and my best friend, Nicole and I were getting ready for a dance at our school. Being 13 and in seventh grade, we took a while to get ready. We were doing our hair and makeup in her room and it was about 7 o'clock. It was already dark out. Suddenly, I got the strangest feeling that I had to go to the bathroom, just to leave the room. I said to Nicole, "I'll be right back, I think I have to pee." She smiled and said "okay, Don't fall in." I walked slowly across the hall into the bathroom and quickly shut and locked the door. I was looking in the mirror and I saw something move in the corner of my eye. I turned towards the window, where the moving was coming from. I gasped at what I saw next. There was a moving blob sort of thing, kind of human-like and moaning. I turned slowly around and jumped into Nicole. "Oh my gosh, theres someone on your roof!" I yelled. She calmed me down and I finally believed that I was just seeing things. We went back into her room. On the sides of her room, she has 2 cubbyholes that had baskets in front of them and were stuck to the wall with paint. We always admired them and wondered what could have been behind them. All of the sudden, just after we closed the door softly and turned around, they both fell down at the same time. Something was making a rustling noise inside of the holes. There was no way we were going to stay to find out what it was. We both ran down the stairs and since no one was home, we couldn't tell an adult. Nicole called her mom and said, "Mom, hi, it's me. Um, theres someone in the walls." Her mom laughed and told her to stop watching horror movies. Then, out of nowhere, Nicoles yellow lab, Dakota, who is fully grown and I think shes like 4 years old came running into the family room where we were sitting. Dakota started scratching at the walls and barking and growling. We were stunned. Theres this rumor than animals can tell if theres ghosts with them. We knew by then that it wasn't an actual human being because they couldn't get down to the wall where we were. We looked at each other and Nicole said, "I've got an idea. Wait here." I was like, "Hell no, I'm staying with you." We creeped into the kitchen and Nicole took out an 8 inch long knife. I started to giggle at the sight of this. Then we heard the moaning again and I stopped giggling. We called our friend Pia and asked her to come over, she said she would but she would have to walk so she would be there in about 10 minutes. Then we called Chrissy and asked her the same, she said the same, except she'd be there in 20 minutes. We waited and Dakota was still flipping out at the walls. Pia showed up first and laughed at the sight of us. Then chrissy came and looked flushed. She told us that something was moaning from inside her basement. We ran out of the house screaming.
