I have ready basically every story featured on the site
and some seem terrifying, but all in all my experiences
have been quite calm except for a few. I have many stories
that could fill a book and it's up to you to believe me,
but here it goes:
My first experience was when I was about 12 or 13 years
old. My best friend had come over to spend the night, but
at my parents house we really didn't have a bedtime so we
were up at all hours of the night. We had decided to watch
T.V. in the living room while we laid on our bellies on
the floor. It suddenly got a little chilly so I grabbed a
white sheet that was laying on the couch nearby (my mom
was a nurse so she brought these sheets all the time).
After about
half an hour of watching I noticed there was a small
someone or something in between us sitting Indian style
underneath the sheet. I automatically thought it was my
brother or sister trying to hang out with the older kids
(like always). So I screamed, cursed, and told it to leave
(still thinking it was my sis or bro) until both came into
the room and told me to shut up. I then thought, by
chance, my friend had her foot up and was creating the
illusion.
I tapped her on the shoulder and said
"Tina, can you put your foot down because it's letting the
draft in the blanket?"
She looked at me puzzled and said
"My foot isn't up!"
"then what is that ?" I said in a quiet little voice.
We both at the same time slowly turned our head towards
the figure and could see the perfect outline of an
obviously small person sitting facing the TV between us.
Naturally we jumped, screamed, and threw the blanket
covering us up in the air only to see it fall flat on the
ground.
Needless to say, my best friend never came back over and
told everyone in school that I had a haunted house.
HOUSE ON LEMARSH STREET
My family has been haunted for years, but we ignore it so
I thought I would share some more experiences.
My family and I lived in a 1940's built home which was
built by the original homeowner. He was a small man who
was,a photographer, about 4'9 or so in his senior years.
He was the only person that I knew of to have died in the
house, which he used as his teaching studio/home.My
parents' room was his office, the livingroom was his studio
for students, my sister's room was where he developed the
photos (hung to dry),and my room was his bedroom. Now you
know a little background info so I will get on with it.
One incident was when I was about 15 and I was sitting on
my little sister's bed listening to her radio, when all of
a sudden water drops started to fall on my head which was
unusual since it was a sunny summer day.I didn't see any
moisture from the ceiling or where it was coming from
because it stopped just as quickly as it came.
The funniest incident involved my father, sister, and I. My
dad,a retired U.S.Marine corp soldier,can never sleep in a
bed so one night my sister and I decided to keep him
company in the livingroom and sleep on the floor near
him.I was about 16 and my sister was about 12.It was about
11pm, my dad was falling asleep, but my sister and I
decided we would rather talk all night when we noticed a
balloon that we had brought home from a party 3 or 4 days
earlier started to move. Now this thing was so flat that it
was pretty much on the ground and deflated, but now it was
almost back to life. There were no open door, windows, or
fan on so it was really weird.I thought it was moved
towards us,but went right over us and hit my dad.He
started screaming at us to stop hitting him with it.I
repeatedly told him it wasn't me,but instead the balloon
moving on it own,but of course he thought I was lying. It
continued to go to each corner of the room only to go back
and hit my dad in the head. This happened about 5 times
when he finally looked up to see the balloon right before
it hit him in the face again. It was Great!!!!He ran so
fast out of the room and left us there laughing under the
covers. When he left though the balloon lost life and
stopped moving.
The best thing is that I think the ghost is pretty much
friendly. We've even kind of grown use to opened cabinets
that you know you closed,or footsteps up and down our
hallway at night, and even water running when no one is
around, but all in all it's all fun.
