Hi everybody, I'm going to tell you of an experience that
happened to my partner and I about 11 years ago. There
maybe some skeptics out there who may not believe that
this happened, but I am here to tell you that it did and
it is all true!
Well it may not be so scary, more freaky, and weird. My partner and I were only just
married, we lived in an old fibro cottage that was built in the early 50's, the rent was cheap and we were very
happy. It was all very cosy and nice.
We had two pet goldfish, it was at the time the movie, "A Fish Called
Wanda" was released, so I decided to call one of the
goldfish Wanda, the other Wilfred.
One night we decided to go to bed around 11pm, we had a phone next to the bed. It rang. My husband answered, he
said "hello" a couple of times then he hung up. He had a strange look on his face. The hairs on the back of my neck
stood up, then the phone rang again.
"Hello, hello!", my partner said, then he blurted out "Who is this"?!, then very frustrated he hung the phone up again.
He said there was a woman on the phone saying over and over again "my name is
Wanda...and this is my home, over and over. She sounded far away and there was a lot of interference over the line
like a crackling noise.
It rang again, the same thing. I was starting to really get frightened, I blurted out "hang the phone up" so he did. We went to sleep.
The next morning I awoke before my husband as usual, got up walked into the kitchen to put the kettle on, there on the floor, was one of my goldfish Wanda, dead!. I called to my husband in disbelief to come out and see for himself. I told him before he got out of bed. We were shocked and remembered the phone call the night before.
Wanda had obviously jumped out of the fish tank like so many times before, but I always rescued her.
We laughed, and were shocked at the same time. We gave her the 12 flush salute, and said goodbye. This is absolutely
true, this isn't a hoax.
