His Sister's Return

OK, I sometimes find this story hard to tell, but I want to share it with you all.

About a year and a half ago, my friend's sister died in a horrible accident . . . the driver was going 130 mph, and swerved to miss an animal on the road. Needless to say, it was quite a mess.

My friend had lost a sister, and I a beloved friend.

About a week after the accident, he started to hear things in the hallway between his room and his sister's. He told me about this, and I dismissed it as a side effect of losing her, but as time passed, these things continued.

It wasn't until I went through that hallway myself that I really understood what he meant. There was a definite presence there that had not been there before he lost his sister, it was uncomfortable, but not frightening. It was her.

So I stayed there that night, and as I tried to sleep in his room, I could hear the things he was talking about . . . there were footsteps in the stairs, which would progress all the way to his door, the sound of someone leaning against his door, and then footsteps leading across the hall, to his sister's room.

Now, there's no way I can convince you all to believe this, I'm sure, but we were alone in that house. I heard it, I know it is true.

And to top it all off, exactly one year after her death, the noises stopped and the presence went away.
