Late Night Terror

OK I live in NY, yea, full of lights, Sounds. The city that never sleeps. Well, I never took Ghosts and the Paranormal too seriously, I always said that type of stuff only happens in the quiet places like the suburbs or the countryside. Well, one night I found out how terribly wrong I was.

It was one HOT night... it was well above 90. During a night of insomnia, I was up watching TV, it was very late. My house was really quiet and Dark. The only lights were the light from the TV and a night light in my Kitchen. All of a sudden, completely out of the blue, my TV went dead, so did my air conditioner. I thought maybe a blackout, but then what got me kind of spooked was that my Kitchen night light was still on. I shrugged it off and went to my kitchen for a snack. I opened the fridge and I happened to look into my brothers room, his door was wide open. With the bright light from the fridge, I was able to see something standing in the doorway of my brothers room. It was something much taller than my brother, and he is the tallest person in my house. Whatever it was, this thing was breathing very heavily, I mean it was Loud. No human could breath as loud as that thing was breathing. I was scared out of my mind, I wondered how can my brother could be sleeping with that thing breathing so loud in his room. Then my being afraid quickly turned to me being extremely worried.

I stepped back until I reached my cabinet, I found a flashlight and pointed it towards the doorway and nothing was there... it had vanished. Everything, the Dark figure, the heavy breathing, had just vanished. I went into the room to see my brother still sleeping unharmed in his bed. I went back to my room and my A.C and T.V was back on. Whatever it was it left, for now...

I still didn't believe, I convinced myself it was a dream until that morning when my brother was complaining how cold it was last night. COLD? like I said, it was well above 90 that night, and my brother has no windows in his room so his room is the hottest room in the house. There is no way that room was cold, this made me believe that it really happened.

Thanks for reading my story.
