Port Arthur

My wife and I were on our Honeymoon in Tasmania and decided to take a "ghost" tour of Port Arthur.
It took alot of convincing for me to go as I thought it sounded a bit "corny" and would just be a waste of a night. After all, it was our honeymoon and I could think of other things Id rather be doing!
Anyway, I was talked into it and along I went. I must admit that the people who run the tour do a great job of talking it up and trying to scare people. But it just wasn't doing it for me and I was starting to get a little bored.
Eventually we came to the solitary confinement cell which is just a tiny room with no windows and only one way in or out. The sandstone walls there are really thick so it's virtually soundproof. The tour guide locked us in to get the feel of it and then took us out into the area the convicts were "walked" once a day to exercise. It was similar to a livestock holding yard. Thats when it happened......
Out of the corner of my eye, I could see the ghostly figure of a man slowly walking up and down the exercise yard. If I looked directly at it I couldn't see a thing, but if I looked away, sure enough, there he was. My wife noticed this also. We were in a group of around 12 people but only two others saw the walking convict.
When I informed the tour guide of what we had seen she said that "the tour was over and please make your way back to your car." Then she just left us there and almost ran away from the area!
Later she tried to tell us that it was just another tour guide and sorry she got "spooked".
There is no possible way that what we saw was another tour guide. I am convinced that what the four of us saw that night was not even human, or animal for that matter. None of us were under the influence of alcohol or any other drug. Strange thing is, even after seeing this ghostly image with my own eyes, I'm still not convinced that ghosts exist or of the paranormal. Although, as I sit and type this in a dark lonely office, I do have goose bumps and keep looking over my shoulder!
These events occured between Feb 16th & 20th 1998.
