The Handsome Builder

Ihave always been one to believe that there is something else out there that we can't explain. I had never had any personal experiences with the paranormal until 1999, when I truly became a believer.
My parents had been looking for a lake cabin for a couple of years when they finally found the perfect house. It sat right on the lake in a small southern town of Kentucky.
The first year they had the house, we made many trips getting it together. Finally, it was all finished. My dad and I had decided to go to the lake a little early, before my mom, sisters and brother arrived.
After a long day, it was time to turn in. Dad went to his room and I ventured up to the loft. While I was going up I felt like there was someone else with me, but I know that was impossible. I quickly fell asleep.
About 2:30 in the morning I suddenly woke up, knowing that I was being watched. I rolled over onto my side and there in the bed next to me was a man. He was very handsome, a rugged looking fellow. he had brown hair, with a well trimmed beard and mustache. He was wearing a red flannel shirt and blue-jeans; his feet were adorned with yellow construction worker boots. What struck me most unusual were his eyes. They were ice blue and almost glowing. His hands were placed in his lap and he was just looking at me. I was startled, but never really felt frightened. I sat up slightly and out loud, I asked "Who are you?", but he never responded. Instantly, he vanished. I was breathing hard, but I went back to sleep.
The next morning, I got up and told my dad what I saw. He thought that I was crazy. Later on I discussed what happened with my grandmother. She told me that the man could have been the one that had built the house that my parents had bought. He had just recently died and had not been in the house at least 8 years or so. He had lived there for 16 years before he had to move, though I don't know why.
Personally, I feel like he might have come back, just to make sure that his house was taken care of. I have never seen him again.
