Was It A Ghost? (2)

I have been reading the ghost stories on this site for a few years now. I am a firm believer in the afterlife and have had many spiritual experiences in the past. Although I have had my share it has been a few years since I have had an encounter. This happened last night and I am not sure if this would actually qualify as an encounter or not...you be the judge.

My boyfriend, sister and I have just recently moved into a new apartment. We moved about a month ago maybe more. I have not experienced anything weird until last night.

My sister went to bed around 10:00 and my b.f and I shortly retired to our room around 10:30. My b.f. securely locked up the house and turned off all the lights before coming to our room and closing our door. We fell asleep shortly thereafter.

At about 12:01 my eyes popped open. I was sleeping with my back to the door and I turned around to look at the door, I'm not really sure why. But to my surprise it was wide open and the hall light was on. Completely shocked and assuming that someone must have gotten in the house I jumped up and ran into the living room to see what was going on. Everything was normal so I turned off the hallway light and went back to my bedroom.

My b.f. was still sound asleep and he is not a sleepwalker so I didn't think that he had gotten up and left the room before I woke up. I just assumed that he hadn't closed my door all the way since you have to push on it most of the time to make it latch completely and maybe one of my cats had pushed it open or something. But, even if that was the case who turned on the light? I figured it was my sister and just went back to sleep.

When I got up in the morning I asked my b.f. if he had gotten up the night before and left the hallway light on and the door open. Of course he said no. I also asked my sister if she had gone into my room or turned on the light and she also said no. She told me that she had gotten up around 12:30 to let her cat out of her room and all the lights were off. So now I know that her cat couldn't have opened my door since he was locked in her room until 12:30. I had let my cat out of the house at 10:30 so I know he was not able to open the door either. I don't know what is going on in my new apartment but whatever it is freaked me out last night. I hope my apartment is not haunted!!
