The Ghostkeepers
This Is (Not) a Haunted Episode - Castle of Spirits Paranormal Podcast Ep02
Updated: Feb 28
Intrepid is a word assigned to people who are fearless and courageous. Although it’s nothing that has ever been leveled at us with anything resembling a serious manner, it’s a word we choose to assign to ourselves—especially on dark and stormy nights where trepidatious steps take us through cavernous sandstone corridors to unknown destinations.
On this night, we once again found ourselves in the Castle library, where we eagerly rummaged through the vast archives of 4,600+ reader-submitted ghost stories to bring you our very favorites. “Telephone Call” tells the story of a little girl whose toy phone became a link between the living and the dead, and “Too Close for Comfort” follows the storyteller to a close encounter with the spirits of two dead hikers.
Sharing stories of this sort isn’t for the faint of heart because they invariably lead to discussions of sundry spooky subjects—in this case, our own experience at a haunted brewery in Salt Lake City, and a photo taken at Alcatraz Island in 2003 that may or may not have captured the ghost image of a long-dead prison inmate.
