"not Amber"

Greetings ghost keepers! I recently commented on a YouTube episode of y'all's about my mimic story. Here it is!

My husband is a sceptic. He's never been a real believer in anything paranormal. But this story happened to him. Now he's a bit confounded.

One super late evening, I was upstairs asleep in my bed. My husband was downstairs watching TV and generally doing nothing. Until someone caught his eye. He saw me, or at least what he thought was me, walking down the stairs and towards the kitchen. He said "hey babe", but got no response. He said he was already uncomfortable with the interaction because I acted like I didn't know him and didn't have time for him. So he followed "me" into the kitchen where I turned on the light. He didn't see me anywhere in the kitchen, or the entire downstairs for that matter. He ended up running upstairs and freaked out upon seeing me sound asleep. He asked if I had just been downstairs. I told him I hadn't and he asked me "don't you have sage for things like this?"

For a few days after that freaky incident, my husband would "make sure" I was in fact me and not this "not Amber". He would ask me questions that only I would know the answers to, and sometimes poke me to make sure I was indeed there.

I think it scared him so badly because this isn't the first time he saw "not Amber".

When we lived in Florida a few years ago, my husband was upstairs sitting on our bed and said he turned around to see me peeking my head in the door and asked "you up babe?" Then he heard "not Amber" giggle and disappear into the upstairs hallway.

I was downstairs, sitting on the living room couch, face timing with my uncle and cousin when my husband hauled ass downstairs and asked me "how did you get down here so fast????" My Uncle and cousin on FaceTime was like "she hasn't moved from the couch."

I've had my share of experiences but I've never encountered the "not Amber". And every time my husband sees her, he gets more and more freaked out and has more questions about the paranormal. Maybe "not Amber" will make him a believer?
