3 Nights Of Terror

USA
June 2003

It had been a few years, but I still remember those nights, the 3 nights I experienced the worst time of my life.

I was 14 years old, now 17 and my family had just moved into a new house, it was new to us but it didn't look new, in fact it was at least 100 years old. The house we moved in to was said to be haunted, of course coming from a good Christian family we didn't believe in that stuff.

Anyways only two days after moving in we had everything settled. On the first night that all the weird stuff happened, my little sister and brother came home from school, I watched a little T.V., my sister and brother playing hide and go seek, then my mom came home from work, a few hours later my dad, then I did homework, set the table and had dinner. After we had put our dishes in the sink, my family and I went into the living room to read stories from the bible. A few minutes after we begun we heard a terrible crash in the kitchen, my dad and I ran in to inspect, and what we found scared the heck out of us.

Our whole kitchen was trashed, and the table and chairs were placed in a different area than before. We knew that none of us could have done this, we were all in the living room at the time, and no one else could have done all that without us hearing them in the process. So not knowing what happened we decided just to clean up the mess and go to bed.

The next morning I got up and went to school. Again I came home after school with my little brother and sister, watched some T.V., then when my parents were home did homework, ate dinner, but instead of reading bible stories my mom and dad decided to work on their seperate computers while my siblings and I got ready for bed.

Going up the stairs I usually look down at the steps while going up, but this night I had a kind of feeling that I needed to look up, when I did I saw a woman, I didn't know this woman and it scared me, especially since I could see right through her. Her face also looked scarred up and her eyes were a real dark black, I tried to scream but couldn't, then she disappeared, finally I was able to scream and my parents came running. I told my parents what happened but they just said I was tired and needed to go to bed. The rest of the night nothing strange happened.

The next day was a weekend and I did what most teens do, hang with friends, watch T.V., and eat food. That night we did the same as usual, ate dinner, and read bible stories. When it was time to go to bed I asked my parents to go with me up the stairs, they did, nothing out of the ordinary happened. So I headed into the bathroom to take a shower. This night, I had a feeling, was going to be different.

While in the shower my usually warm water turned cold as ice, I quickly got out and turned off the water, I put on my bath robe and went to ask my dad why the water was so cold. He said he didn't know, so I went into my room put on my nightgown, kissed my brother and sister goodnight, and went into my room to read a bit.

Ten minutes into reading I felt a strange sense that someone was watching me, I looked up no one was there, so I went back to reading, about three minutes afterward I looked to my right at the wall next to me and saw the shadow of a hand, I thought it looked like a womans hand, small and bony, I looked to the oposite side of me and no one was there, then all of a sudden my lamp turned off and my room was cold as ice, then I started to hear whispers, so I grabbed my cross then started to say the Lords prayer "Our father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name".... then the whispers stopped, the light turned back on, and the room was warm again.

Those three nights my family and I experienced I dismissed as a real haunting, even though my family doesn't believe in hauntings, I knew it was just the ghost of someone trying to tell us they used to live there and they are still there. Since then we moved because of my moms job and are happy to report no hauntings.
