Are You Doing This To Her?

When I was 14 years old I had an extremely frightening experience with a Ouija board at a friend's sleep over.

My friend knew how I felt about Ouija boards, knew I was a little wary of them, so when I saw it on her living room bookshelf she promised me she would would not take it out. However, another one of her friends arrived, took one look at the board and begged my friend to take it out. All the other girls seemed interested, so I told my friend I'd just go sit in her room and take no part in the experience.
As the minutes passed, I began to feel an overwhelming sense of dread creeping into my veins. My heart began pounding in my chest, I began to feel like someone or something was trying to squeeze the life out of me. I ran pell mell out of the room and begged my friends to put the board away, that something they had called up was trying to hurt me. Some of the girls looked at me like I was a bit mad, but the girl holding the planchette was very serious. She asked the board "Are you doing this to her?", and the planchette flew to "Yes". That was enough for me. I ran out of the house and was physically ill. The girl who had instigated the "game" had quickly closed the board with a "Goodbye", ran outside, and clasped my hands on hers. She told me I needed to calm down, that I was only giving the board what it wanted.
After a few minutes, the heavy feeling lifted, and I felt much better, but I ended up calling my mother and begging her to come and get me; I was not spending the night in that house.
That was 12 years ago, and to this day, I will not go into anybody's house if they own a Ouija board, even if they're not currently "playing" with it.
