Astors Beechwood

I worked at the Astors Beechwood for 2 seasons for those of you who don't know the mansion gives "living history" tours. We did murder mysteries, Christmas shows and more, but it was during one of the Christmas shows that my experience occured.
Between shows all of the actors left the mansion and I stayed to nap on a couch in the old servants quarters on the 3rd floor, which was off limits to anyone but the staff.
There is a hidden staircase that leads from the 2nd floor to the 3rd floor. I knew there was nobody but a few banquet people setting up on the 1st floor for the next show which means they would be nowhere near me.
I heard the door to the staircase open like someone was coming up to the 3rd floor, and I heard footsteps and the creaking of the stairs and thought one of the actors were back and got up to see who it was. I waited by the door for a minute and nobody came through it. I had heard stories and thought my mind was plying tricks on me but from what the others were telling me they had the same experience.
Another story also takes place at the mansion. It was during one of the Murder Mysteries.
I was sent to the 2nd floor to light the candles in the rooms for people to walk through. I refused to go by myself so another staff member came with me.
As we entered the first bedroom 2 things happened, the first was we saw a figure behind a dressing screen (that scared us) of course we lit the candles and tried to get out of there as soon as possible, but we stood in the doorway for a second look and the candles went out right in front of us! Needless to say neither one of us went back in to light them again.
