Could There Be Two?

April 2005

Well, first of all I want to say how much I like this website, because it lets me know that I am not the only one experiencing things of the unknown. And second, my story is 100% real and I was very frightened as it was happening. I wouldn't lie about these things because My mom and I are very religious and we don't mess around when it comes to the paranormal. Now this experience may not be much to you, but it is to me.

My mom, brother, and I moved into our apartment in mid October of 2002. Your basic over-priced apartment with living room/dining room, tiny kitchen, tiny bathroom, master bedroom, and a 2nd smaller bedroom. My mom and I share the master bedroom as well as the bed because well we didn't have much money to begin with (well we still don't) at the time. My brother of course got the smaller bedroom. Right off the bat, I got a strange vibe from the place. It wasn't necessarily a bad vibe, but it wasn't good either.

We didn't have much furniture to begin with so we ended up buying things little by little. So as I said before my mom shared the bed as well. Well, as time went on nothing out of the ordinary happened, just the strange vibe as I mentioned. So I just passed it off as over active imagination.

Well, by December of that year I had lost my job and money was even tighter than it already was. Well, as you can tell it was a very difficult time for me and my family. I was angry, bitter, and frustrated, because I couldn't find a job. My boyfriend tried to comfort me and be supportive of the situation, but it was no use, I was on permanent "PMS" as my mom and brother put it.

So for several months I was at home looking for work through the newspaper and online. And there were a lot of times that I was home alone during the day...not good. If I was in the shower, I would feel that I wasn't alone in the bathroom and I would keep peeking through the shower curtain. Also, I would be on the computer and I would get this feeling that someone is watching me and I would constantly turn around to of course find nothing. I would also hear noises in the kitchen, like the plates are being moved. So, to calm my nerves I would open every window blinds in the apartment (except my brother's room) to let daylight come through and I would turn on the TV for background noise because in my idiotic mind I seem to think that light and noise repels ghosts. I know it sounds funny and it doesn't make sense, but it's what occurred to me at the time.

One morning, my mom had to go clean someone's house (aside from her part time job, she sometimes clean houses for extra cash) and once again I was to be alone that day. Well, I was half asleep when she was leaving and I remember her saying to take the chicken out of the freezer to defrost. I said "ok mom, take care and God bless" and she repeated the same back to me. Well, since it was early like 7 AM, I just went back to sleep, or at least tried to go back to sleep. I was in that half asleep/half awake state when I looked at the bedroom doorway and I saw a woman standing there, only her face was demon like. And she was growling at me, I was paralyzed with fear. Like I said I was half asleep and awake, so I wasn't sure if it was a dream or if it was real. But I was afraid nonetheless, unable to move I started to panic and immediately I started to pray. I kept saying "In the name of Jesus I cast you out demon!" over and over again until it disappeared and I fell asleep. I woke up an hour later confused on whether or not it really happened. Well, later that day in the afternoon when my mom came home, I told her about it and she told me that she has been getting strange vibes as well, but didn't want to tell me because she didn't want to scare me.

Apparently, my brother had already sensed a supernatural being in our apartment and isn't bothered by it. He says we should fear the living not the dead, because the dead can't harm you. Nice philosophy, but this being is trying to hurt me or at least trying to scare the living daylights out of me.

By March of 2003 I got a part time job in an office, not enough money but it was something. As I mentioned before we started getting furniture little by little, including a bed, so my mom didn't share a bed anymore, of course by then it was December 2003. I kept the old bed and she got the new one, and I placed my bed by the corner wall across from our dresser and mirror and my mom's bed is next to mine but by the bedroom door and the closet door is right there, too. We have a bookshelf standing sideways between our beds where our alarm clock, phone, and radio is. I decided for my bed to be in the corner because I have a fear of sleeping by doors. I keep thinking that something is going to come through and grab me. (Yeah, I know I'm a scaredy cat...lol.)

I wish the demon looking lady was the only experience I had to go through, but it's not. One day I didn't have to work and neither did my mom and we were both sitting on the couch watching TV when we heard a noise in the kitchen. I said jokingly maybe our ghost is hungry, when all of a sudden a knife came flying out of the kitchen and landed under the dining table. We both just sat there in shock, and I immediately apologized to it. I know what you're thinking maybe it just fell out of the dish rack, but if it did fall out of the dish rack wouldn't it have fallen on the floor in the kitchen and not under the dining table. You get my drift, right?

Well another time, during the summer of 2004, it was late at night and everyone's asleep. I woke up to the feeling of someone sitting on the edge of the bed, but not just the bed but on my feet. I felt someone's weight on my feet, now I was under the covers, and I thought maybe it was my mom, maybe getting something, because like I said the dresser and mirror is front of my bed. Well, without taking my head completely out of the covers I looked to my left and I saw my mom asleep on her bed. I immediately started to panic, I tried moving my feet, but I couldn't whatever was sitting on my feet wasn't moving. Once again I was paralyzed with fear; I was too scared to look over my covers. I started to pray softly to myself because I didn't want to wake up my mom. I kept praying and praying until whatever it was got up and I fell back asleep. I didn't tell anyone about that because I didn't want to be label as insane.

Then a few months later that same year, it happened again. This time it's winter and since we didn't have the A/C on I was able to have the radio on (on low volume of course) set to the Christian station playing all night long to help me sleep. I once again was awoken to someone's weight on me, only this time it wasn't my feet it was on my stomach. I couldn't breathe and my body was going numb from this being's weight. I was terrified because this being was trying to hurt me. I couldn't move at all and panic was taking over now. I started to pray and as I was praying anger took over instead of panic, and I got brave decided at that moment to throw the covers off of me and face this being. But as I continued to pray, I yanked the covers off and sat straight up but to my surprise there wasn't anything there. I kept praying as I looked around the room, but nothing I went back to sleep, all the while my mom was snoring the whole time. I told her the next morning, but she didn't know what to think because the being my mom and brother has sensed wasn't a bad one. I told my boyfriend, but he was no help, he doesn't believe that ghosts might exist. He just brushed it off as my imagination and that I was dreaming.

Well, once again it happened about a week ago. This time I awoke to someone trying to grab my feet and I started to pray all the while kicking this being away. And immediately it stopped, I looked over the covers and of course there was nothing there.

Now we all have sensed the nice being, because it likes to watch TV with us. We know it sits with us because, we have this cute wicker chair between the couch and the computer, and when someone is sitting there it makes noises, especially when you're moving around in the seat. So there are a lot of times when any of us are watching TV and all of a sudden you hear the rustling of the chair.

Could there be two? Or is it that the good one some times likes to mess with me? Or maybe we do have a good one & a bad one? What do you think? I can't seem to tell myself. Well, thanks anyway for taking the time to read my experience.
