Dad?

Let me just start by saying, I've never seen a ghost, & would probably wet myself if I ever did, but I love ghost stories, & this web site, and couldn't believe this happened to us. That said, this is what happened to our family:

This happen the middle of Jan. this year, 2000. My father-in-law spent the Christmas holiday with us in Ohio (we've since moved to FL). On Jan 3rd, he & I both got sick during the night (we blamed it on my husband's chili). Unfortunately, his was a little more serious then mine. And, being 91, he ended up in the hospital for a week. Dad passed away the following Wed (1/12), the day he was suppose to be released from the hospital.

And, this is were it gets weird. We had his body flown home (IL.) to be readied for viewing. My husband flew over, & I followed a couple of days later, driving my step-son with me. My daughter, her husband, & baby girl came from IN. My step-sons twin, his wife, & baby boy lived about two hours from Dad, so they drove in on Fri. My daughter & family stayed at a B&B, we figured the kids would never give up & go to sleep if they stayed together (both were 1-1/2 years old at the time). So at dad's house was my husband, his twin sons, daughter-in-law, our grandson, and me. I had a laptop I was playing a game on once the little ones were down for the night. When I went to bed, I left it plugged in so it would charge over night. One of the babies had found dad's electric razor, & our daughter-in- law put it on the counter in the bathroom, to get out of the way of small hands.

The next morning, when we got up I checked my laptop. I wanted to unplug it, & put it up before the kids got up & started playing with it. It was already unplugged! I was the first one out to the livingroom that morning. The second thing that happened was, no one could find the electric razor our daughter-in-law had placed on the bathroom counter the night before.

Everyone had denied unplugging the computer or hiding the razor. I believe dad was there that night. I had unplugged the lamp that was ALWAYS plugged into that socket, & plugged in my computer. I had replugged the lamp into the socket below the original one - I don't think dad liked that!

We didn't find the razor until my husband & I were packing to come home, a week after the kids had all left. It was in our suitcase that we keep our toiletries in when we travel. It was in my hairdryer case. I had never see it on the counter the night before, so I'm not sure how it got in our suitcase.

But wait.....there's more!

When my husband went over to Illinois to pick his father before Christmas, he was asleep & woke up with a start. Looking to the foot of the bed, he said he saw his mom standing there (mom had passed away 2 years earlier on New Year's Eve- Happy New Year!), looking like she always did, with a smile & her hands clasped in front of her. He said she didn't say anything, when I asked him. Of course now he denies it ever happened (even though he knows it did).

I think mom was trying to tell him something then, & I think it obviously had to do with dad.
