I go to Our Lady of Mercy College, Parramatta (near old government house actually). Parramatta, as you may or may not know, is a very historic area, containing many old houses, and farms, and not to mention schools like mine.
OLMC was built in the 1880's, and ever since there have been strange stories and happenings going around the place. All these seem to centred around the original school building, which was not only a day school, but for a while, had boarders also.
I started school there in 1998, and will be doing my final exams in 2003. The first subject that we do for history is look at the history of school. One of the places that you see (and normally aren't allowed to) is "the red stairs", which are apparently haunted. On these stairs a student and nun were supposed to have died. Often one can hear footsteps coming down the stairs, and a sound like falling.
There is also a room, which is also reportedly haunted. This is room 22, which is called B207 now. Before its renovation, classes would often be disturbed by the door opening and closing during lessons. I have also had the unpleasant experience of being there at night for a drama performance. On opening night, needing something from my locker, I had to walk through the old building on my own. Whilst walking to my locker, I could feel something coming up behind me, I could also hear footsteps, when I turned around there was nobody there.
Cleaners at the school (who are there from early morning to night) have often said that they have heard footsteps, voices, etc, whilst by themselves. Could it be a student who really enjoyed school?
