Family Ties

Part of this story was told to me by my sister, so you'll have to take her word for it, too.

When I met my husband, it was love at first sight. Well, at least for me-it was love for him a few weeks later. :) Anyway, when I had first met him, he had told me that his mom had passed away about a year before.

One night, I asked one of my grandfathers (who had passed away a few years before) in a prayer, to talk to his mom, and to see if we were really meant to be, and what was going to happen next? I'm not sure why I did this. I was not very close to my grandfather, but it seemed like something I "had" to do.

A few nights later, I had a dream that I was sitting on my bed doing automatic writing-when a spirit writes things down using you as the writer. It was bright in my room, and I was writing on a large white board. It was my grandfather, (I just knew) and he was writing down through me that yes, my husband and I were meant to be, and that we would start dating three weeks later. Lo and behold it was 3 weeks when it happened.

Strange thing was, the day after that dream, my sister, whom I share my room with, had awoken in the middle of the night, and saw me sitting up in bed, staring straight ahead. She called to me, and upon looking closer, she realized that as well as me sitting up, I was also still laying down, sleeping. Creeped out, she thought it best to ignore my out of body experience.

I have not experienced any more happenings with my grandfather at all. I did see a psychic friend of the family, and she said that my husband's mom's spirit tends to follow me around, and my grandfather tags along with my mom. I have had many experiences with my spiritual mother-in-law, which I will save for another time.
