Girl Scout Cookies
This is just a short story..........................
When I was younger, I was a Girl Scout. One day while selling cookies, I stopped by this cute little white old- fashioned looking house. It had all kinds of country-looking stuff on the porch: for example, ducks with bonnets, embroidered table cloth on table, and the paint on the house and porch looked very bright and new. When the person came to the door, she was a very sweet old lady with curly gray hair and rosy red cheeks. Her house smelled strongly of scented candles, (I seem to remember it might have been cinnamon). She was very sweet and ordered some Girl scout cookies.
Well, a month later when I returned to the house to deliver the cookies, I had some trouble finding the house. Because I was expecting to see all of that cute stuff and the little old lady with the rosy red cheeks. The house that I was sure I had been to, didn't have any of that cute stuff on the porch. It was kind of dirty and looked like nothing had been there for a long time.
So I went to the house anyway and this young lady with black hair came to the door. I had said that someone here had ordered cookies but she was sure no one had and she had been living there for quite some time. So I just left. And that was the end of it.
I didn't really think much of it at the time, but it did bother me for a while and it has stuck with me ever since.
