Grabbing Ghost

O.k. I have always believed in Ghosts but I honestly didn't think I would personally have an experience so I was pretty freaked out when I did. Anyway, here it goes.

About 3 years ago I lived with my boyfriend and his parents (he's an ex now) and his room was in the basement. I always felt uncomfortable in his basement and I hated being there alone. Sometimes he would have to work late and I would leave the light on when I went to bed because it was spooky. I always felt like someone was watching me and whoever it was did not like me. Now for the experience.

It happened late one night when he and I were sleeping. I was dreaming as usual but suddenly my dream turned into a nightmare. I can't remember what the heck I was dreaming about. Anyway, I woke up from the nightmare just in time to see an arm come up from my side of the bed and grab me by the waist. I actually felt it pull me over the bed with enough force to turn me over!!! Of course I freaked out completely, jumped out of bed and ran to turn on the light. After I turned on the light I looked at my boyfriend and his face was totally pale. He just looked at me and said "I just saw something try and grab you!" You have to understand that my ex-boyfriend is a total skeptic and not a practical joker either. Plus, there is no way that he could have gone to the other side of the bed, grab me and try to get back to his side in time.

Needless to say, after that incident we slept upstairs. I finally got up the nerve to tell his mom about what happened after some time and she told me that her father spent a great deal of time working on their basement and it was his baby project. Her father died of cancer about 6 years ago. I wonder if it was him letting me know that he did not approve of me or something else. All I know is that I'm still weary about sleeping too close to the edge of my bed! Thank you for your time in reading my story.
