Hanging Katherine

This story was not passed down, copied, or enhanced in anyway shape or form.

One night when I was alone, of course it was a little bit stormy, I felt something starring at me from behind. When I looked around, nothing or no one was there. So I went back to playing my game on the computer.

It happened again a few minutes later and this time, my heart began to race, warning me that there really is something behind me. I turned around and I swear I saw something run down to the basement. I just stared at the stop where I saw it. I just figured it was my imagination running wild. A few minutes later, my cat came in and jumped on my lap. She started growling at the air! When I looked down at her, her eyes were blood red and her ears were pulled back. Her tail was twitching like crazy. Soon, she jumped down and left. I had no idea what was going on that night.

Around 3:30 in the morning, I heard a little voice singing. It was extremely faint, so I could barely hear it. But it began to get louder and louder. It was a little girl's voice singing,
"Ring around the rosies. Pocket full of posies. Ashes, ashes. We all fall down." The little girl came into focus a little bit. But she was a rather faint glow than a figure. It looked like she was skipping rope, while she was singing ring around the rosies. Then she made up a little rhyme.
"Hello my name is Katherine Loften. I skip rope often. I love my mommy and daddy, but I wish they loved me." Then she stopped skipping rope and looked down toward the ground. I closed my eyes and it was like she was showing me what happened to this house back in the 1800s.

The only part of the house that was there was the basement. Katherine walked outside and I followed her. She went up and hugged I guess her parents. She ran over and picked some flowers and gave them to them. Her dad put a bag over her head and tried to smother her. I jumped at him but flew right through him.
Then her mom grabbed the rope out of Katherine's hand and tied it around Katherine's neck! Then they tied the other end of the rope to a tree limb and let go of her.
I think she was already dead because she didn't move at all. My eyes began to water, then I closed them and I was back in my own time zone. I ran outside and on the tree limb was a piece of string.

She was hanged by her parents.

About 3 weeks later, we moved about a 6th of a mile away from the house.

It's still a mystery why Katherine choose me to see what happened to her. But I'm glad she did.
