Haunted Athens

I am currently a student at a large university in southeastern OH. The university as well as the town is well known for it's rather tragic haunted history. Most of this centers around some of the occult happenings that took place in the 1970s in the five graveyards that surround the town. It is said that the 5 grave yards form the shape of star they each are the same distance from each other no matter which direction you go to or from.

My story is not about the grave yards, but it is about my experience in the building I live in.

I live in a graduate student residential hall. This is one of the buildings that lies outside of the path of the star. During my first weekend that I spent in my new room, I received the shock of my life. It was about 9pm on a Friday evening. I was sitting at my computer IMing one of my alumni from my undergrad. I had left the door to my room open because it was hot and the air conditioner was not working. Out of the corner of my eye I saw a black figure standing in my doorway. I thought that it was someone on my floor so I turned to see what they wanted but as soon as I did, the figure quickly disappeared. I was a little spooked but shook it off. I thought that maybe someone on my floor wanted something. So I went down the hall, the only people that were there were two guys "Harley' and "Andrew". I asked them what they wanted, but Harley had been talking on the phone to his girlfriend and Andrew was sound asleep. I went back to my room trying not to think about it. I went back to my computer and left the door open. Suddenly I felt a cold brush of air on my back and the door slammed shut. I freaked. I opened the door and ran out as I did so I saw the black figure at the end of the hallway. It turned and went through the door. It did not open the door but went through it. I wasn't the only one that saw it. Harley had just gotten off of the phone and was heading out the door when he saw it too.

This is not the only 'experience' I have had, there have been many others but that is another story for another time.
