Hawaiian Tale

Ihad taken a plane trip from Atlanta to Honolulu which is about a 10 hour flight. Needless to say it is a very tiring flight to get there. After arriving many hours later I was picked up at the airport by my brother-in-law who was stationed at the US army installation called the Crater. The military housing is built over a volcano as much of the island is. Anyway my experience has taught me to compensate for jet lag it is best to stay up as if your body has adjusted to the different time zone. I went to bed about 11:00pm. Boy, was I tired!. Around 4:00am I had the feeling that someone was standing over me and I woke up. When I opened my eyes I saw a short creature that had an animal face standing at the foot of the bed. The creature wasn't acting in a threatening manner so I didn't think to get up and run. I laid back down and closed my eyes for another 30 seconds then I jumped up acknowledging what I had just seen but now it was gone. I have never forgotten this experience as it happened just a few years ago. Just recently I was telling my daughter about this story and she tells me that she saw the same creature also; but was afraid to bring it up because she thought that she wouldn't be believed.
