House Full of The Unknown

I am writing about a house that I was born and raised in, in fact, my parents still live there.

It isn't an old house, however, it is near another house that was built in the early 1800's. The only remains of the other house is a stone foundation that was originally the barn, and part of a stone fence that once stood around the grounds. It was always kind of a cool spot to play in when I was young. I always thought the area where the other house once stood had something to do with the ghosts that seem to inhabit in and around my parent's house. Let's just say it is a hunch.

The first experience I had with a ghost was when I was four years old. Due to my young age the image is somewhat blurred, but I still can vividly recall how scary it was. I remember feeling bored and wanting to go outside, but for some reason or another, I wasn't allowed to.
Anyway, I decided to go into the living room and look out the bay window at the field in our backyard. At that point I watched a Black figure appear (the size of a small boy but with no features - just blackness) and come running right by the window. I was very young at the time, but I could sense the black figure was evil and something to be afraid of. Afterwards I was very clingy to my parents and didn't let them out of my sight.

I also started having very disturbing nightmares about a young boy whom was murdered. I assume now that the nightmares had something to do with the shadowy figure of the boy. Although I haven't had the recurring nightmare for years now - they still scare me whenever I think about them.

Not all experiences I had in the house were bad though. Once when I was ten I woke up to a little girl standing by my bed watching over me. Although I was scared, I didn't feel like I would be harmed in any way, shape or form. The little girl had long black hair and an old fashioned white nightgown on. To this day I feel she once had lived in that other house.

Other experiences I had involved hearing footsteps on the stairs when no one was home, faucets turning on by themselves and seeing shadows.

When I was 16 I had my wisdom teeth out. I was really sick so my Mom had me lying on the couch in the living room. I couldn't move off the couch without the assistance of someone else because I kept fainting. While I was laying there half a sleep, my Mom and some of her friends were playing cards in the kitchen - which is adjacent to the living room. All of a sudden My Mom called out, "Why did you get up from the couch without me - are you alright!" I was groggy at the time, but realized she thought she was talking to me. When I told her I was still on the couch she kind of freaked out.

Apparently, she saw a shadow walking down the hall and assumed it was me.

Well, hopefully you enjoyed my stories. I have always been intrigued by the paranormal, yet don't quite understand what it is about my parent's house that seems to attract a wide array of spirits.
