Little Girl (5)

We have only been living here in this home for about 1-2 years, when this incident occurred.

I was sleeping in my bed, when something made me wake up. I looked towards my bureau which was only about 3 feet away from me. And standing there was a little girl with brown hair, a yellow shirt, and green pants. She was looking downward at my dog who was sleeping near that bureau. For a moment, I thought it was my niece, but that would be impossible because this little girl only looked to be about 8 or 9 years old, and my niece was quite older than that.

I reached my hand out to her, to touch her; I was wondering if I might be dreaming. And when I touched her shirt, she disappeared. I was freaked! I couldn't sleep very well the rest of the night after that. And when I got up the next morning, I was still freaked by it, but I kept the story to myself, not wanting to frighten my Mom and my daughter...until....

About a month later, My Mom said that she saw this little girl in her bedroom whom looked like my niece, her granddaughter. And the same thing happened to her; she reached for her and the little girl disappeared. When Mom told me her story, I then divulged my story.

It has been 8 years since that happened. I have not seen the little girl since. But, I do believe it truly happened, as does my Mom too. How could both of us have been dreaming, and see the same little girl?

My daughter has never seen her, or if she has, she is not telling anyone.
