My Grandparents House

October 2001
This isn't horribly scary, but here goes. I live in a house that I inherited from my grandmother. Both my Grandmother and Grandfather died in this house. I moved in while I was pregnant with my second child in 1995.
The first night I couldn't sleep well at all. I attributed this to my overactive imagination, and the fact that I knew that my grandparents had died in the house.
Things don't happen very often and they don't scare me too bad, knowing these are my grandparents, but here are some examples:
My children are a year apart, so basically they were both babies at the same time. They were both crying at the same time one day so I gathered them both up and sat in the rocking chair with them by a window. I was getting stressed, because they wouldn't stop crying and all of a sudden the mini blind on the window started moving as if someone was taking a stick and moving it up and down on the blinds. Both babies stoped crying at the same time.
Alot of times at night I will catch some movement out of the corner of my eye when I am watching tv or wasting time on the computer, when I turn to look I see a man type figure standing in the archway between the living room and the kitchen. As soon as I look, the figure turns and walks into the kitchen. The first couple times I got up and followed him, thinking it was my husband, only to find the kitchen empty and my husband snoring away in our bedroom.
There have been quite a few times when I will come home from work to find appliances on the I know were not on when we left in the morning. A few times I will awaken in the night and find the tv in my bedroom on, when I know darned well I turned it off before I went to sleep.
I have alot of furniture still in the house that belonged to my grandparents, one being an antique cabinet radio. This is one of the things that will be on when I come home from work, and we don't ever use it, let alone keep it plugged in.
Last but not least, I will find cannisters overturned in the kitchen, cupboards opened, things re-arranged in the cupboards.
I know these things aren't terrifying, they don't scare us too bad. We just figure grandpa and grandma are saying HI.
