My Little Girl

AZ, USA
October 2000

My husband is in the Army and we recently left Ft Huachuca. We lived in a house that had been renovated a couple of years before. Before we moved on post we heard a lot of stories about some of the buildings being haunted. I thought those stories were cool but never paid much attention.

The first weird experience happened to my husband. The night after we moved in we were both asleep when something woke him up. There was a shadow floating over our bed. Then he heard someone whisper in his ear that our dogs were there to protect us. Then the shadow disappeared.

Then early one morning last January my husband woke up to get ready for work. I didn't have to be in till later in the day so I stayed in bed. Right after he went into the bathroom I heard a baby crying from our extra room. At first I thought well its the baby across the street. Then it hit me, they were on vacation. In fact almost everyone on my street was on vacation. I heard the baby cry for a few more minutes but I just brushed it off.

Two weeks later I woke up in the middle of the night to the same sound. The baby was crying in our extra room. I woke up my husband and told him to go check on the baby. Of course he thought I was crazy but I insisted. So then he thought that I was asleep. I got frustrated and yelled at him that I was wide awake and that the baby was still crying. Apparently he couldn't hear it. He rolled over and went back to sleep.

Eventually the crying stopped and I fell asleep again. When I did I had a dream that the cutest little girl came into our room. She came over to my side of the bed and climbed in. She said "OK mommy I'm ready now." I looked at her and said sorry but I'm not your mommy. She got visibly upset and kept insisting that I was and told me she didn't want to wait anymore that she was ready to come with me. She then told me that she didn't want me to leave her behind again. I got upset and walked out of the room and the little girl came after me.

Just then I woke up to my Rottweiler barking. He also woke up my husband who went into the living room to check on him.
When he came back into the bedroom he said that the weirdest thing had happened. Sarge was laying on the couch looking directly at our bedroom door growling and barking at something. He said he didn't see anything but whatever it was had his attention and had upset him.

I really dont know the history of that post. But in the cemetery there are a lot of graves of children that died with in a few years of each other. I know the house I lived in was not yet built at that time. But if anybody knows the history of that area I would love to find out more.
