Night Shift (1)

This is an incident that happened to me about 10 years ago.

I used to do floor maintenance for the old National Grocery Store chain. Needless to say I worked the graveyard shift and a lot of time I worked in stores that closed at night. I was normally the only person in the store after everyone left for the night....

Getting to my story, I worked the Collinsville Store; this store was a small one to say. After the last person left the for the night the parking lots lights would shut off and the lights inside would get dim (very gloomy site). I started my usual routine of sweeping and scrubbing the floor. As soon as I finished running the scrubber on the floor I put the scrubber in front of the checkout lanes and went to eat lunch.

When I came back from lunch, I went to get the scrubber to drain and clean the tanks but the scrubber was gone. I thought someone was in the store. So I checked the store to see if anyone else was in the store besides me that I didn't know about. No one was in the store but me. I started freaking out and tried to find the scrubber. I checked every isle in the store, then I checked the back room and I saw the scrubber parked in its spot in the back room. The tanks were drained and clean plus it was plugged into the charger and the charger was on. This really scared me, I made my way to the front of the store and waited till the morning people came.

I never worked that store ever again but I did talk to others that worked that store they told me they had similar experiences.
