Our Murky Room

This isn't especially scary, but it unnerved me, as it happened just last night.

My husband and I were in our office and had been having a deep heart wrenching conversation about us and our life. It got late and we decided to go to bed. We continued our talk while laying there. My eyes were closed, and when I opened my eyes, I saw dark, swirling shapes just over our bed. They were so thick I couldn't see anything else in my room. I closed my eyes again, and when I opened them, they were still there, some seeming to loom closer. I had stopped talking, so my husband asked me what was wrong. I said, "I'm seeing things". He asked me what I was seeing, but I wouldn't say just then. Then he says, "The air in here looks murky. It never looked like that before". That's when I squeezed my eyes shut and told him to think good things. I looked again and they were still there, not as close, but still there. I asked him to turn on the light. He did, I got up and checked on our kids. Then we went to bed. As I was drifting off to sleep, I saw the shapes still, but not as thick as before.

This morning when we got up, I asked my husband if he remembered last night and he did, so I wasn't dreaming. Our house was just built last year, and nothing I'd call paranormal has occurred there.
