Rollercoaster Road

Hi there, my name is Lana Michiko. I'm 27 and I have a very frightening story to tell. It's about me and my friend Bethany.

We were riding back from a friend's house. When we turned onto this strange road. Then Bethany spoke up, "I know this road, it's called Roller Coaster Road." That gave me the creeps. "Why is it called that?" I said looking over at my friend with a look of fear in her eyes. "Well, the road is so much like a roller coaster because it swoops up and down." she said looking over at me. I stopped the car and pulled it over. I checked my watch and it was close to midnight. "We shouldn't take this way." I said to my friend with a look of guilt. "But it's the fastest way back Lana, anyway, my Mom will have a fit if she finds out we were out any longer then midnight." Bethany said looking over at me. "Fine." I said turning the engine back on.
"I've heard that people have crashed on this road into trees and stuff." said Bethany watching as I put the car into Drive. "What?" I said in disbelief. "Let's just hurry." said Bethany looking at my watch. So, I started out very slowly on the road.

Bethany and I kept laughing as our stomachs kept bouncing up and down. But we weren't prepared for what was going to happen. Bethany and I saw that the road was turning into a bend.
We circled the bend and something caught our eye. It was a white figure standing above a small pond surrounded by green grass. The white figure had to bright red slits for eyes staring straight at us. I slammed my foot on the brake and told Bethany who was a white as a ghost to stay there.

When I got out I noticed that the figure was still there staring at me. I was so terrified that I backed against the car. Then what almost made my heart stop was ... it was moving slowly toward me. I screamed on the top of my lungs pounding on my friend's passenger door screaming for her to get out. She was as scared as I was, a corn field was right next to us so we ran over to it. Right before we entered I saw the white figure turn it's eyes over to me and it seemed as though it was trying to control me to kill myself into the shallow pond. I started to walk when I didn't want to over to the pond very slowly. I put my foot into the water and then started walking in. Then, I heard my friend's voice off in the distance calling my name. It was what broke the spell. My eyes looked into the figure's direction. It stood there watching me as though it thought I was asking it for permission to kill myself.

Without hesitation, I ran past the ghost and back into the cornfield. Right before I entered I heard nails go across something like a chalkboard, and it didn't take me long to realize, the ghost or whatever it was, was doing that to my car.

I finally found Bethany crouched into a little ball in the middle of the cornfield. We stayed silent as could be. Then, we heard the soft footsteps going across the ground ... We waited and waited as though our life were being sucked out of our bodies. Then it just stopped.

After a while, an hour or two, we got up and started heading back for the car. I noticed that I still had my keys tightly held in my hand. We finally got out seeing everything we saw before except two things. The ghost of course, and my car.

We ended up walking back to Bethany's house which was only about 2 miles away. When we got back we both slumped onto the couch and turned on the TV.
There was the NEWS right in front of us. It claimed that a car with no one inside had hit someone or something like that. We both laughed and watched as the picture flashed on the screen. There it was ... my car ... with a person under the wheel all bloody. We then turned off the TV and went to bed, where my dreams haunted me all night.

Thanks for hearing my story, and I swear that all of it happened. It turned out I got my car back, and five long scratched in lines were on the roof of my car.
