Someone to Watch Over Me

Charlotte O'Reordan, Surrey, England
April 1998

This story is entirely true.

The first time I saw her, was in the kitchen of the house I grew up in. I was eight years old at the time and known for having a wandering imagination,so naturally it was put down to that, but I wasn't convinced, but at only eight it is only right to go along with everyone. That first time, she was standing at the window by the kitchen sink and she was holding cloth of some kind, she was dressed in trousers and a jumper and her hair was either short or tied back. That was the last I saw of her there.

Now ten years later, I'm in a different house, that certain meeting has happened twice. The second time I saw this woman was in the bathroom, it wasn't that late, about 9:30pm, I was going to clean my teeth when I opened the door and there standing by the window in front of the sink was this figure of a woman again dressed in trousers or a long skirt, and jumper. As I entered the room she turned to face me; she was quite a short lady with dark hair tied back and she was well built. The last time I saw her was when I came home late from a going out with my parents and as I looked up she was in the kitchen with her arms folded in the door, she had a stern look on her face, and as I moved forward she turned away and disappeared in to the dining room door.

That was the last time I saw her. However I do feel her presence alot, its like some is behind me but when I look there's no one there.
