Spook House

I have never had an encounter with the paranormal but my father has had many when he was a boy.

My father was about 9 or 10 years old when he had his first encounter. He and one of my uncles were watching TV in the living room. My grandma is an artist so she has her paintings all over the house and she has one painting of a lady at a bar serving a shot of whiskey by theTV. That night my grandparents were out. All of a sudden the lights started to flicker, then went out. Still to this day my dad and my uncle say that they saw the womans eyes (in the painting) turn red! Those people who have never had a "ghost experience" may find this funny, but it was not!

About a week later my dad had his second, third, and fourth encounter.

He had gotten in deep trouble this one night, and had run in his room to cry. He slammed the door behind him, as he was told by my grandfather not to come out for the rest of the night. As he was crying his bed started moving up and down until he started screaming! Again, my grandfather came in to see what was wrong, and as it turned out he ended up not believing a word in my dad's mouth.

That night my dad woke up straight in bed in the middle of the night. He looked around his room because he thought he had felt a presence. Over by his window there was an apparition of what he claimed looked like an Indian. Again he started screaming at the top of his lungs!

This happened two more nights in a row!! So my grandma and grandpa moved the bed out into the middle of the hall. Nothing happened in that house until about ten years later when my dad returned from the army.

My dad was about 20. He was in the den watching TV when he felt hands grabbing his ankles! He pulled away quickly and ran out of the den into the kitchen. He told my grandmother. To this day she says she did see hand prints on both of my fathers ankles that no one could ever do to themselves! Those are the encounters so far my dad had in the spook house, but they are not the last!
