My brother and I are both student aids at the college we attend.
My brother, Bill, works in one of the off campus learning centers, and I work on the main campus. Almost a year ago, a student passed away at the center where my brother works. Bill was there and attempted to administer CPR to the young man, but his attempt failed. That happened on Monday of the week in question.
The following Friday, I went to work with Bill since we had planned on going out afterwards. It was getting on 10 o'clock, time to close up the building. I went down into the basement to tell the people in the computer labs it was time to go home. When I got down there, there was only one student, and he said he would be done in a moment. I went back upstairs and checked the ladies rest room. When I came back, the student was standing at the desk, apparently waiting for someone. I asked if I could help him and he said "no, that's alright, just tell Bill I said 'thanks for your help'." I agreed to do this and the student left. I delivered his message to my brother when he returned from the work room and he didn't have a clue as to what I was talking about.
The following Monday, the student news paper came out with an article about the student who had passed on a week earlier at the center and as I looked at the picture of the student, I realised that it was the same person as the young man who I had talked to the previous Friday night.
What exactly went on, I am not sure. It's entirely possible that I imagined the face was the same, but I doubt it. I haven't seen the student, or his ghost, since, which I think is a good thing.
