The Birthday Sing

USA
December 2002

My Mother-in-law died the Monday before my oldest son's birthday. She was buried the day before his big day. After we got back to her home after her funeral, on and off the rest of the day, I felt like someone was nudging me in the backside with their knee. The first few times I turned around to scold my youngest son for doing it. But, no one was there!!

I spoke with my Father-in-law about having a birthday sing for my oldest son. He said definitely, it is what Grandma would want.

After the sing my Father-in-law told me that he could feel Grandma's arm around him. Not only that but as soon as I spoke with him about the sing, the nudging stopped.

I truly feel that my Mother-in-law was telling me to do something for her grandson's birthday.
