The Ghost at the Foot of the Bed

This is something that happened to my mother about 10 years ago. We used to live with my grandmother when I was about 8. I used to sleep with my mom because I was always scared of the noises that old house made. Well this happened many times but the first time it happened we had just gone to sleep and my mom said she felt this weird feeling of someone watching her so she woke up and there standing at the foot of the bed was a tall dark figure. She said she didn't feel scared because the figure didn't look threatening but rather concerned. She said he was tall and seemed to be wearing a suit but it was to dark she just could see the silhouette of him. Then whenever she said "what do you want?" he just faded away. She would always get up and have a cigarette and pace the house. I would ask her why and she would just say that she wasn't tired, although this would normally happen at 1:00 or 2:00 a.m. She said this continued for a few nights every few months. She didn't like it but just tried to ignore him and get back to sleep. Then we moved into a new apartment and since I was a bit older, I slept in my own room. We had lived there for a few months and everything seemed fine but then one night I was asleep in my room and mom said she felt that weird feeling again and when she opened her eyes the man was at the foot of her bad again, only this time he walked towards her and put out his hand to her. She said it was a medium size hand and she could see it perfectly but still she couldn't see his face. He then said "come with me" but my mom felt this weird fear and she told him no and then he vanished and he has never appeared to her again and it's been 8 years.

My question would be what would of happened if she would of told him "yes". It still gives me the chills to think about it. Sorry it was so long. Thanks for taking the time to read. But it's a very true story and I thought it would be nice to share it with others.
