The Sad Girl and The Old Lady

The first unexplained occurrence I can recall was when I was about 12 or 13 and I was sitting on my bed and listening to the radio. I heard a huge crash coming from the kitchen like a fridge falling over and rushed out to see if everyone was ok. The only person in the room was my mother and she said she had heard nothing. I checked the other rooms but everything was normal. I had almost forgotten about this when a few years later my father was relating a story about when I was a toddler I shook the cupboard so hard hat the breadbox which was very heavy and about 6 feet off the floor came crashing down to the floor.

I don't know why this sound came back to me after so many years but you have to admit this is very weird.

I have only seen one ghost and this happened one night when I was working as a train driver in the shunting yards. I was passing some passenger coaches and this little old lady was sitting at one of the windows and smiled at me as I went past. It was only when I was past the coach that I thought the coach should be empty (It was about 2am). I went past the coaches later and they were all in darkness and very empty. The shunting yards are not near a public road so the lady could not have wandered off the street. I guess she just liked trains and wanted a last ride.

We moved to our current house about four years ago and from the start my wife started to see things moving out of the corner of her eye and one day saw a little girl walking past the window but when she went outside to see who it was there was no-one there. No-one had time to get away before she went outside. My wife was telling one of the neighbours about this when she was told about one of the previous owners who used to beat his daughter and throw her up against the walls. The description matched the girl perfectly. The girl did not die in the house and this is the first time I have heard of a persons spirit being seen while they were still alive. Maybe her feelings were that strong that she left some of her emotions in the house.

We have both heard someone walking on the carpet and felt someone sitting on the bed but didn't want to turn around to see who/what it was.

I hope you find these stories interesting .
