The Santa Experience

In my family it has been a tradition to read "The Bear Story" and "Little Orphan Annie" on Christmas Eve before opening presents.

One year while my dad was reading the stories, we (my parents, my brother, my sister, and myself) were all upstairs. I can't remember which story Dad was reading at the time, but we all heard loud thumping coming from above us. We also thought that we heard bells jingling. All of us were upstairs sitting on or around a bed, and there were no bells upstairs. We all looked at each other, and none of us could have done it. We went downstairs, nothing was on, not the TV or the stereo or any radios. I still don't know what it was, I guess that it must have been Santa?.

The odd thing is that my Mom and I were just talking about it, and we still don't know what it was. It has never happened since, but I wish it would this year, so that my daughters could have such a neat Christmas story of their own.

I promise that this is true, and I am not making it up or trying to make fun of anyone, it really did happen.

Thank you for reading.
